備考:                                    在留資格「留学:College Student」を持つ者(2008年3月25日までに在留資格を「留学」に変更予定の者も応募可)。

1964年4月1日以降に生まれた者(45歳未満の者)。学業・異文化理解・コミュニケーション能力に意欲のある優秀な

留学生を支援。「博士」の学位を既に取得している者は異なる研究をする場合を除き応募資格なし。

他の奨学金との併給は不可(授業料免除等例外あり)。過去に米山奨学金を受給した者は応募不可。

本人が記入すること応募時に、研究計画書および小論文(共に、所定用紙使用・自筆(ワープロ不可)・日本語・800字

以内)が必要。毎週開催される例会に毎月1回出席した際に奨学金が支給される。

Remarks:                      For foreign students who have a "Ryuugaku (College Student)" visa and who were born on or after April 1, 1964 (Age must be 44 or under).Those who will change their visa to "Ryuugaku"by March 25, 2009 can also apply. This scholarship is to support excellent foreign students who are eager to study, and have crosscultural understanding and communicative competence. Those who

already have a Doctoral degree cannot apply except when studying in a different field. Receiving other scholarships together (with some exceptions such as tuition exemption) is not allowed. Those who were Yoneyama Scholars before cannot apply.

Application instructions and forms should be printed out from the foundation’s website: (http://www.rotary-yoneyama.or.jp/). Forms must be filled in by the applicant in JAPANESE. When you apply, you must submit a study/research plan and an essay,

both of which should be written by the applicant (use of a word processor is not allowed) on the specified form in Japanese, in 800 characters or fewer. Meetings will be held weekly. Grantees will be expected to attend, at least one such meeting per month, at which time they will receive scholarship funds.
