備考：　                            人文・社会科学の分野（社会医学等）対象。研究者が日本やアジア・大洋州の社会、文化などへの理解・認識を深め、

将来これにより国際交流が一層促進されるような研究を重視。応募（２００９年２月２９）及び受給の時点でアジア、大洋州諸国・地域から来日中の留学生対象。博士号をすでに取得している者、あるいは助成金授与時（２００９年７月）までに博士号取得が決定（内定）している者は応募不可。助成を受けた者には各種義務（研究報告書・会計報告書の提出等）あり。助成内定者は必ず追って開催される（７月上旬予定）研究助成説明会・懇親会に出席すること。

Remarks：                     RESEARCH FIELD MUST BE humanities or SOCIAL SCIENCES (e.g. SOCIAL MEDICINE). Special emphasis is given to themes that help deepen researcher's understanding and awareness of Japanese or Asian/Oceanian society and culture and enhance international interchanges. Applicants must be foreign students from Asia-Pacific country/area at the date of application (February 29, 2008 and subsidization. Those who already received or will receive doctorate before the date of grant (July,2008 ) cannot apply. Grantees have several responsibilities, such as submitting research report and a copy of their account book. Selected applicants MUST attend the research grant guidance meeting and reception party that will take place in the beginning of July.
