研究奨励費候補者の募集及び面接選考についてのお知らせ

平成２１年４月に入学する修士課程１年生または博士課程1年生。（研究生も応募可）私費留学生を対象とする「東京大学外国人留学生特別奨学制度」研究奨励費受給者への応募を受付けています。つきましては、募集及び面接選考を以下の通り行ないます。

１．書類選考を実施

＊ 日本語または英語。

＊ 第一筆者の論文がある場合には、その論文情報を記載してよい。ただし、論文情報を記載する場合も記載がない場合も同様にＡ４版片面１枚以内とする。

　　�B推薦状を書いていただける教官２名の氏名・メールアドレス・内線番号情報　　　　　　　

　＜提出方法＞　 �@、�Aは原則、持参すること。ただしＦＡＸ・e-mail も可。

�Bはe-mail のみ。（gaigak39@m.u-tokyo.ac.jp）宛に送信すること。

２．応募者の中から１０名に対して、面接選考を実施

※面接を行なう者の発表予定日：3月30日（月）（e-mail 又は電話にて連絡）

＜面接選考実施要領＞

（１）日時：平成２１（２００９）年４月７日（火）　１８：００〜２０：００

※面接予定時間は対象者に追ってお知らせします。各自、予定時間の２０分前には集合し、名前を呼ばれるまで「Ｂ07　留学生談話室」の前で待機していてください。面接時間は予定より早くなることがあります。

（２）場所：医学部総合中央館　Ｂ1F　Ｂ07留学生談話室 (本郷キャンパス)

（３）発表内容・時間：一人８分　

・研究発表（Ａ：大学進学以降の研究実績）

　　　（Ｂ：東京大学大学院での研究予定内容）ＡとＢあわせて６.分

・質疑応答　２分

（４）使用言語：日本語または英語

※ 研究発表（oral presentation）には、プロジェクターとコンピューターとを国際交流室で用意するので、レーザーポインターを使って発表できます。一人につき、７画面までパワーポイントによるスライドが使用可。（Ａ：これまでの研究実績を４画面以内　Ｂ：今後の研究予定内容を３画面以内　ＡとＢあわせて７画面以内）、発表時間は6分以内となる。

発表用のファイル容量は７画面以内で動画も含めて5MB以内となる。

発表を始めて、5.5分後の時点でベルを鳴らします。残りは30秒です。

なお、発表当日に資料等を配布することはできません。（応募時に提出された研究計画書（Ａ４版１枚）は当日審査員に配布されます。）

２００９年４月７日（火）午後３時までにCD-RまたはUSBメモリーを国際交流室に持参するか、CD-Rを学内便で国際交流室に送付すること。なお、締切日時（４月7日（火）午後３時）以降は、一切変更を受け付けませんのでご注意ください。コンピューターのトラブルがあり得るため、研究発表時にも、自分のCD-RまたはUSBメモリーを持参して発表すること。

　　（５）結果発表：推薦決定者には、４月１０日（金）にe-mail 又は電話にて連絡します。

３．医学系研究科から３名を推薦

※ 応募時に申請書をＦＡＸで提出した場合は、必ず原本も４月１５日（水）までに提出すること。

≪Important≫2009 Screening for University of Tokyo fellowship: (Tokyo Daigaku Gaikoku-jin Ryuugaku-sei Tokubetsu Shougaku Seido)

We will start accepting applications for this scholarship. Many students apply for this scholarship, so candidates will be selected in the following two steps.

1. First screening: Document-based screening

We will accept application forms from 10:00 on Wednesday the 4^th of March until 16:00 on Wednesday the 25th of March. Applicants are required to submit a detailed research plan (in Japanese or in English, 1 A4-size page). This research plan can include information on relevant papers published in (or accepted for publication in) academic journals, but only if the applicant is the first author. Whether or not such information is included, the research plan must not exceed 1 A4-size page.

The application form must be submitted to the OIAA by 16:00 on Wednesday the 25th of March. The applicant must also notify the OIAA of the contact information of two faculty members who can write recommendation letters. All application procedures must be completed no later than 16:00 on Wednesday the 25th of March. The application can also be sent by FAX or e-mail.

Ten applicants will pass the document-based screening. Only those ten will be informed of the result. Those

ten will be informed by e-mail or by phone, no later than Monday the 30th of March.

2. Second screening: Oral

Guidelines for the oral presentations

（1）Time and date: Tuesday the 7th of April, 2009. 18:00-20:00

The candidates will be informed of the schedule by the OIAA.

If you are one of the ten who will give an oral presentation, you should arrive at B07

OIAA International Exchange Room, 20 minutes before the time scheduled for you oral presentation, and wait in front of the room until your name is called. Interviews may start before the scheduled time.

(2) Place: Room #B07 OIAA International Exchange Room, in the basement of the Medical Library　Building (Hongo Campus).

(3) Duration: 8 minutes per person

・ Oral Presentation of your research: 6 minutes

・ Questions and answers: 2 minutes

(4) Language of your presentation: Japanese or English

Our office will prepare a projector and a PC for your presentation.

You can show up to 7 slides, using PowerPoint software.

The contents are as follows.

Part A, up to 4 slides: your research since the time you entered university

Part B, up to 3 slides: your plans for future research

The size of your file must be less than 5MB.

The duration of the presentation (parts A and B) is 6 minutes per person.

A bell will ring 5.5 minutes after you start your presentation. At that time, you will have 30 seconds in which to finish your presentation.

After your presentation, there will be a 2-minute question-and-answer period.

You need to bring your presentation document (data) on a CD-R or USB Flash Drive to our

office, or send it to us by campus mail.

We must receive your presentation document (data) by 15:00 on Tuesday the 7th of April.

After that time, you will not be allowed to change the contents of your presentation at all.

At the time of your presentation, please be sure that you have with you a copy of your

presentation document (data) on a CD-R or USB Flash Drive, in case there is a problem with

the PC.

(5) Result of the second screening

By Friday, the 10 th of April, those who passed the oral presentation will be informed of the result by email or by phone.

3. Three applicants will be recommended from the Graduate School of Medicine.

If you submit the application form for the first screening by FAX, please make sure to submit the original one by Wednesday the 15th of April.
