備考: 「留学」の在留資格を有する私費外国人留学生対象。授業料免除の併用は不可。平成20年度前期授業料免除申請者(予定を含む)も応募可だが、この奨学金の受給者となった場合は、授業料免除申請の取り下げ手続きを行なうこと。原則として、4月以降他の奨学金の受給を予定している者は除く。民間奨学金財団等奨学金申請者(予定も含む)は原則として推薦しない(ただし、応募可)。「私費外国人留学生学習奨励費」または「東京大学外国人留学生支援基金奨学金」の申請者(予定を含む)は応募できるが、この奨学金の受給者となった場合は、学習奨励費または支援基金奨学金の受給は辞退すること。各年度末に研究経過報告書の提出が必要。
応募者は締切日@までに「申請書」(1枚)、具体的な研究計画書(日本語又は英語・A4版1枚)及び現課程の成績証明書(平成20年4月入学者は提出する必要なし)を国際交流室に提出すること(FAX・e-mail
提出可)。また、推薦状を書いていただける教官2名の連絡先情報をe-mail で国際交流室に提出すること。(この奨学金への応募に限り、2007年度版の《大学推薦奨学金民間奨学金申請調書》及び添付書類の提出による事前登録は不要)。応募中の奨学金又は応募予定の奨学金がある場合は、e-mail で必ず国際交流室に知らせること。医学系研究科内選考通過内定者20名に対して、4月9日(水)17:00〜20:00に、日本語又は英語による面接(研究発表)を実施。発表には、7画面までパワーポイントによるスライドが使用可。(詳細はこちら)

Remarks:
For self-supporting foreign students holding “student”
visa. Tuition will not be waived if this
scholarship is granted.
Those who are currently applying
for or planning to apply for tuition exemption for the spring semester 2008,
can apply for this scholarship. However, such students must withdraw the
application for the tuition exemption if they become grantees of this
scholarship. Those who are currently receiving or expecting to
receive other scholarships in and after April, 2008, cannot
apply. Those who are applying for or planning
to apply for scholarships from private foundations will not be recommended. However, those can also
apply. Those who plan to apply for “Shihi Gaikokujin Ryuugaku-sei Gakushu
Shourei-hi (Gakushu Shourei-hi for Self-SupportingForeign Students)” scholarship
or “Tokyo Daigaku Gaikokujin Ryu-gakusei Shien-kikin” scholarship can apply for
this scholarship. However, such stundets must withdraw from (i.e., not receive)
the “Gakushu Shourei-hi.”or “Shien-kikin” scholarships if they become grantees
of this scholarship.. Grantees must submit a
report on their research and study progress at the end of every academic year.
Applicants must
submit one copy of the application form (1 page)、 a specific research plan (in either
Japanese or English, 1 page, A4 size) and the latest academic transcript(First
year M & first year D who matriculate in April, 2008 do not have to submit
the transcript) to OIAA by the deadline @ (Submissions by FAX or e-mail are
accepted). At the same time, applicants must send, by e-mail to the OIAA, the
contact information of two faculty members who can write a recommendation
letter for the applicant (Only for this scholarship, submission of 《大学推薦奨学金応募 民間奨学金申請調書
(Daigaku Suisen Shougaku-kin Shinsei Chousho) (2007 Academic Year Edition)》 including
attached documents is NOT necessary). Those who are applying for or planning
to apply for other scholarships MUST inform the OIAA by e-mail.
After the document-based
screening within the Graduate School of Medicine, only twenty applicants will be invited for
interviews (oral presentation on research) on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, from 17:00
to 20:00. The presentation can be held in either Japanese or English.Only SEVEN screens
